The vital role of signal communication in the operations of all the Services. Explains the types of insurance, the advantages of savings plans available to Service persons, and deals briefly with retirement and Social Security provisions to which Service persons may be entitled. It emphasizes the need for planning an individual savings program.

Explains the role played by our Reserve forces since colonial days; the necessity for modern "Minute Men"; who are obligated to serve in the Reserve; Reserve pay and retirement benefits. (Replaces AFT No. 421, "Your Reserve Obligations.")

Explains the missions of our largest commands-in the Far East, Germany, Alaska, North Africa, NATO, Mediterranean—with general coverage of other types of military service, such as Military Advisory Groups and training commands.

The first of a series of pamphlets dealing with the subject of citizenship. It describes the origin of the ideas set forth in the Declaration of Independence and explains what this historical document should mean to us as Americans.

It includes facts on the monetary system and suggestions on recreation, besides listing the most scenic and interesting places to visit.

Explains customs, traditions, and problems of the German people, and tells how Armed Forces personnel may help to cement better relations between the United States and Germany. Japan is filmed here as a determined nation wanting to be understood by post-war visitors. Gives usual hints on customs and traditions, places and things of historical and scenic interest, and how to get along with the people. Designed to give Service personnel an overall picture of the Italian people their heritage, culture, economics. politics, and present-day problems-in an endeavor to effect better relations between the Italian people and Service personnel. Illustrates the strategic importance of Spain in the defense of the free world, and acquaints Armed Forces personnel with the heritage, culture, and political background of Spain, their way of life, and how to get along with the people.

These six orientation-type films are designed to acquaint servicemen and women with the geographical, cultural, and historical significance of the respective nations, with accent on their roles in the defense of the free world.

This is a film which highlights the historical importance of the city of Washington. It shows the impact of the outstanding points of interest in Washington-monuments, buildings, documents, etc.-on a group of servicemen passing through Washington enroute to assignments overseas.

This film explains how the Army-Air Force Exchanges operate, why servicemen and women should support them, and the benefits they derive from such support.

This is a film designed to point out to members of the Armed Forces who are being separated from the Services all their rights and privileges as well as their reserve obligations.
