New Perspectives on Historical Writing

This volume provides an account of developments in the methodology and practice of history. The volume covers interdisciplinary areas of historical research, including historical anthropology, women's history, history of the body, history of images, oral history, history of reading, history of material culture, microhistory, political history and history from below. Each chapter analyzes major contributions to the field concerned and outlines prospects for future developments.
