The Speaker's Appointment of Examiners of Sureties under the 28 Geo. 3. c. 52. § 5; and their Appointment of Time and Place for the Examination.

WHEREAS à petition of A. B. esq. complaining of an undue election and return for the borough of L. in the county of H. was this day presented to the house of commons; now I, the right hon. C. A. speaker of the house of commons, in pursuance of an act passed in the 28th year of the reign of his present majesty, intituled, An act for the further regulation of the trials of controverted elections or returns of members to serve in parliament, do hereby nominate and appoint I. L. esq. clerkassistant of the house of commons, and N. S. esq. one of the masters of the high court of chancery, to examine into the sufficiency of the sureties to be named in the recognizance to be entered into before me by the said A. B. esq. in pursuance of the said act, and to report their judgment to me upon the sufficiency of such Given under my hand the day of
