Judge Cleveland was a member of the Masonic lodge of Brookfield, and an earnest helper in all religious and temperance work. MRS. SUSAN ELLEN SAWYER. Mrs. Susan Ellen Sawyer, wife of ex-Gov. Charles H. Sawyer, died in Boston, April 20, at the residence of Mr. Henry Sawyer, nephew of the governor, aged 59 years, having been born in Dover, August 13, 1839. She was president of the Woman's Auxiliary, Y. M. C. A., regent of the Dover chapter of the Society of Daughters of the American Revolution, and was a member of the Society of Colonial Dames.
