XXVIII. Provided always, and it is hereby enacted by the But not to authority aforefaid, That this act, or any thing herein contained, prejudice any or any matter or thing to be comprized in fuch letters patents, &c. fince 1 difpofitions, as aforefaid, fhall not extend, or be conftrued to make void, Ann. of the alter, or prejudice any difpofition, appropriation, appointment, first fruits, matter, or thing whatsoever, contained in any act or acts of poft office, &c. parliament made finçe the faid act of the first year of her Majefty's reign, of or concerning the faid revenues of first fruits and tenths of the clergy, or of or concerning the said revenue arifing in the general letter office or poft office, or any other of the revenues or branches aforefaid; but that the fame difpofitions, appropriations, appointments, matters and things, thall continue, and be in force, and shall take effect, and be obferved, as if this act had not been made: nevertheless so much of the faid revenue arifing in the general letter office or post office, as is applicable to the ufe of her Majefty's houshold, or for fupport of the honour and dignity of the crown, as aforefaid, fhall be liable for or towards making good of the faid yearly fum intended to be charged by fuch letters patents, as is before mentioned; any thing herein, or in fuch letters patents, to be contained to the contrary notwithstanding.

XXIX. XXX. And it is hereby enacted by the authority aforesaid, That the proper officers or perfons, who fhall, from time to time, be intrusted or concerned to pay the monies of the faid revenues into the faid receipt of Exchequer, for anfwering the faid yearly fund laft mentioned, and the refpective officers or perfons in the faid receipt of Exchequer, who are, from time to time, to make any payments out of the fame yearly fund, purfuant to the directions of fuch letters patents, as aforesaid, fhall perform their respective duties therein, without demanding or receiving, directly or indirectly, any fee, reward, or gratuity for fo doing, from the party who is to receive fuch money; nor money to and in cafe any fuch officers or perfons fhall take or demand any be diverted, fuch fee, reward or gratuity, or fhall contrary to the directions to be contained in the faid letters patents, and the true meaning of this act, divert or mifapply any of the monies which ought to be paid into the faid receipt, and iffued thence, upon account of the faid yearly fund, every fuch officer or perfon fhall be incapacity, and capable of holding any office, or place of truft or profit under her Majefty, her heirs and fucceffors, and shall also forfeit treble damages to the party grieved, to be recovered, with full cofts of fuit, by action, fuit, bill or information, in any of her Majefty's courts of record at Westminster, wherein no effoin, privilege, protection, wager of law, or more than one imparlance (hall be allowed.

XXXI. And it is hereby enacted, That any money to be advanced or contributed, or that fhall be payable to any perfon or perfons, or to any corporation whatsoever, by virtue of this act, and of fuch letters patents, to be paffed in pursuance thereof, as aforefaid, fhall not be charged or chargeable with any rates, taxes, duties, or impofitions whatsoever.

XXXII. And be it enacted by the authority aforefaid, That all the money lent, and to be lent to her Majesty upon one act of this feffion of parliament, intituled, An act for granting an aid to her Majefty, to be raifed by a land-tax in Great Britain, for the fervice of the year one thousand feven hundred and thirteen, and so much money (if any fuch be) of the tax thereby granted, as fhall arise and remain after all the loans made or to be made upon that act, or thereby transferred or directed to be transferred thereunto, and the intereft thereof, and the charges thereby allowable for raifing the faid tax, fhall be fatisfied, or money fufficient fhall be referved to discharge the fame; and all the monies lent, or to be lent unto her Majesty upon another 12 Ann. ftat. act of this feffion of parliament, for granting to her Majesty duties upon malt, mum, cyder and perry, for the fervice of the year one thousand feven hundred and thirteen; and fo much money of the faid duties of malt, mum, cyder and perry thereby granted, as fhall arife and remain after all the loans
