Sometimes, I try to read books outside the kind of books I normally read. Usually, these are books that are quite successful, so I guess it's good to see what's going on. "The Power of Now" is a prime example of such a book.
So, what we get is an Oprah-ready mishmash of ideas (without boring the reader with any evidence) from various religions that seem carefully engineered to trigger the right feelings in emotional housewives (of either gender) that are looking for Something.
So, not a book for me. But still one star, because I think Tolle did a good job for his target audience.
