it was amazing

'The Maze Runner' by James Dashner is about a sixteen-year-old named Thomas who wakes up in a place called the glade. The glade is a piece of land surrounded by towering walls which protects them from spiderlike machines/animals outside in the maze. He has no memory about who he is, where he is or how he got there. The only thing he knows about himself is his name. The people in the glade are fifty to sixty boys from the ages thirteen to seventeen. In the two years that they have been in the glade they have made a community where everyone has something to do that will help the community. Every month on the same day a new "greenie" comes up a lift with no memory but everything changes once the first girl comes up the lift with the note 'She's the last one. Ever.'
I recommend this book to others because this book is a quickly moving adventure set in a post-apocaliptic world with no adults. It reminds me of books like 'The Hunger Games' and 'Divergent' because they're all about teenagers who are just trying to survive in dystopian societys, who are different from everyone else and dont give up even when things get hard.
I gave this book five out of five stars because i really enjoyed reading this book and couldnt put it down. I am sure that I'll read the other books of the series because the cliffhanger at the end got me hooked.
