it was amazing

The Maze Runner by James Dashner might be my new favorite book. The story is very good and keeps you interested throughout the whole book. There are lots of mysteries and exciting parts that have you eager to read more, and have you wanting to find out what is going on. I gave it 5 stars because I really enjoyed reading this book, I finished the book very quickly because I enjoyed it so much. I would recommend this book to a friend because it is interesting, scary, and an all around good book.

One quote was "My name is Thomas, he thought. That... that was the only thing he could remember about his life." This quote is showing that his memory has been wiped or somehow erased. Thomas is probably very scared at this point."

Thomas is horrified by this and when he learns that they are living in a maze he suspects there is something out there. One quote was "Most of us don't know everything. Half of everything." This shows that they are keeping secrets."

It seems that Thomas is special because a lot of interesting events start to happen after he arrives in the maze. One quote was "We live inside a place that seems to have no way out, surrounded by bloodthirsty monster guards. Doesn't that sound like a prison to you?" This is when Thomas suspects that the maze is a prison for them"

Sonny Jennings "Are they changed because they want to go back to their old life, or is it because they're so depressed at realizing their old life was no better than what we have now?" This quote is basically Thomas questioning why people act so different after the changing. Everyone thinks that the world is so much better outside of the maze and once they escape they will be living in paradise, but Thomas wonders if they saw the truth of what its really like outside of the maze during the changing, is that what makes them depressed? is finally getting to see what its like in the real world and learning its no better if not worse than where they are now the cause of the depression after the changing?

Sonny Jennings "I remembered things from growin' up, where I lived, that sort of stuff. And if God himself came down right now and told me I could go back home...If it was real, Greenie, I swear I'd go shack up with the Grievers before goin' back." This quote is when Alby tells Thomas that the world they are trying to escape to is worse than the world they are in now. Their goal is to escape the maze and achieve freedom but now they aren't so sure that what lies outside of the maze is any better than their current situation. In fact Alby would rather die than face whatever is outside of the maze.
