The Maze Runner (The Maze Runner, #1)

The Maze Runner, written by author James Dashner, is the exciting first novel in a five book series. Thomas, along with his new companions Minho, Newt, Alby, and closest friend Chuck, must find away to escape an unsolvable puzzle. They find themselves in the center of a maze. A huge maze, along with over 40 other boys. The community’s only goal is to survive long enough to find a way out, and there are monstrous dangers. Thomas knows he can be only one thing, a Runner. This book is great and has you interested all the way through. There are holes of information that need to be filled as Thomas attempts to recall his past, and the action rarely stops. “My name is Thomas, he thought. That was the only thing he could remember about his life.” The ending is one you would never expect. I recommend this book to all teens or adults that enjoy puzzling adventure plots, because of the intriguing, constant lack of explanation and danger. I give this book a five out of five stars for a wonderful puzzle with an even better solution.
