The Maze Runner (The Maze Runner, #1)

As Old as Time:
James Dashner wrote most of this work of fiction on just creativity alone. Mainly everything in "The Maze Runner" is complete originality. Some aspects of the story are a cliche, such as the teenagers waking up without a memory. Other than a few small details, Dashner created a completely original bestseller. The creatures described in the book, the climactic events the characters run through, and the background stories the characters find out, are all examples of the originality James Dashner put into this book.
As Clear as Chrystal:
Everything I had read in this book was explained precisely without any confusion lost in between the lines of the text. The disagreements between main characters, such as Thomas and Gally, were stated and explained thoroughly. None of the directions given in "The Maze Runner" were confusing. Dashner would explain what the characters were all doing throughout the story expertly. I completely understood everything happening throughout the story. The balance between the external and internal developments was astounding. Throughout the book when they were solving the riddle of the maze, Thomas would have weird flashbacks about creating the maze and eventually learned how to solve the maze by getting his memories back. When other characters learned Thomas created the maze, some revolted against him in pure anger for Thomas putting them into the maze. Just by reading the first book in the series, I want to read all of the other books in the series to find out what happens next.
