it was amazing

I read The Maze Runner by James Dashner for the first time about a year ago, and since then, I have read it three times. This book is focused on the desire to escape, which is the theme. Dasher, the author, published the first book of the series in 2009, when it quickly became his most popular book. From there, the now 43-year-old author added three more books to the series and wrote The Scorch Trial, The Death Cure, and The Kill Order. In my opinion, this is Dashner's best publication, and a great book for readers searching for an adventure.
The Maze Runner tells the story of Thomas and a group of boys who put in a maze without a single thing they remember except for their names. Before Thomas enters the Glade in the maze, there was a system and everyone had a specific job, but as soon as Thomas arrives, everything takes a turn for the worst. Food stops being sent to them, the first girl arrives, and the maze doors stay open, granting the Grievers full access to the terrified Gladers. This group of incredibly important young adults have to figure out what caused this disruption and how to stop it. Or will they use it for their advantage?
This book takes the reader on a journey with Thomas, the main character, and his fellow abductees, who are caller Gladers. Throughout the entire book there are twists and turns and just as you think everything has fallen into place, another obstacle arises. These are my favorite parts of The Maze Runner because they pull you deeper and deeper into the context, making it impossible for you to put the book down. I also enjoyed this book because there is so much detail that the reader can easily visualize the descriptions. Dashner's book was written as a dystopian novel set in the far future when sun flares caused havoc all around the world. As a desperate attempt to preserve the human race, the maze was created.
In conclusion, The Maze Runner is a book that anyone and everyone should read. It takes you on a roller coaster ride that will have you on the edge of your seat, not able to turn the page fast enough. All of the details and heavy descriptions provide the reader with an image in their minds of the events and surroundings in the book. The only negative thing about this book is that it does not give the reader much to relate to, making some of the emotions and events captivated in the book difficult to understand. Despite the one downside of The Maze Runner, this book is definitely worth reading.
