it was amazing

I chose this book because I saw the movie and that was pretty good and everyone always says that the books are better so I gave it a try. It is true I really enjoyed reading this book I was engaged from the beginning. I enjoyed the book so much I'm now reading the second book in the series.

"Are they changed because they want to go back to their old life, or is it because they're so depressed at realizing their old life was no better than what we have now?" (Thomas, p. 149)

What is reality and how is it constructed? What Thomas said in the quote about has a lot to do with the reality they faced inside the maze. Even tho they couldn't remember much was it that they were scared of what there old life was like or if what's outside the maze is any better then what they have. They are faced with the fact that they don't have anything that's the reality. When Thomas defies everything and goes into the maze and fights the grieves and finds a way out that becomes a reality. Freedom becomes a reality or at least they think it does.

I recommend this book to everyone. If you like a good adventure and action it's a great book.
