** spoiler alert ** The Maze Runner, by James Dashner, is the first book in this sci-fiction series. In this book, Thomas, the main character, remembers nothing, except his name. His memory was wiped when he was put into the glade, along with all the other Gladers. The maze is huge and the other boys that live there are in the middle of the maze, an area called the Glade. Every day, a group of the boys, or the Runners, leave the Glade and go out into the unknown to find a way out. Thomas wants to be one of them. Solving a gigantic maze is hard enough, the maze moves to create new path ways and dead ends every night.

Thomas has flashbacks and figures out more ways to get out of the maze, leading the Gladers out of the maze, and into victory.

This story is very fast-paced, and also very action packed, which are factors that most people enjoy about the book that everyone likes. In my opinion I really enjoyed this book because, I felt like you were unsure of what would happen next, so it was very unpredictable. I would definitely recommend reading this.
