This book is on my daughter's 6th Grade Summer Reading List provided by her school. I am reading along with her so she can discuss her reading. I also enjoy YA literature and am a fan of dystopian/post-apocalyptic stories.
That said, I hated this book. It took everything I had to finish reading it. I don't know where to start. So I won't. My daughter didn't like it either and we both helped one another read to the finish.
I guess this book is appealing to young boys. I can't imagine who else would enjoy it. I'm sorry for the negative review. Best of luck to all those 6th Graders spending their summer break reading this boring book.

I know younger boys who've loved this so maybe it has more appeal for them. Nice to see reading lists handed out for the summer, I used to love that!!
