I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this book. It doesn't get 5 stars, though, because it could've been better. How? Well, I don't know, I just think there was something...missing...
Because I saw the movie first, I kept picturing the scenes I was reading as they played out. Of course, the book is ten times better than the movie, and the movie left out and changed things from the book that would've made the movie better.
All in all, it felt like a mix between Lord of the Flies and Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome. I look forward to reading the next book in the series, and then the third one, so I can read the end before the movie ruins it.
