Thomas wakes up to find himself in a strange place, surrounded by boys of different age groups, remembering nothing but his first name. The boys tell him that the place is called as Glade and they call themselves as Gladers. They too like Thomas have no memory about their past life and how and why they came about to live in Glade. Thomas soon finds out that the Glade is self sufficient and pretty much like a small community. He also finds out that the only way to get out of the place is to solve the maze that surrounds the glade. Solving the maze isn’t easy as the walls in the maze move every night and the maze is guarded by half animal-half machine things called as Grievers.
Newt, Alby ,Chuck ,Teresa, Minho are few prominent characters. Newt and Alby are the leaders. Minho is the keeper of runners, who run around the maze to learn about the pattern and get an idea on exiting the maze. Chuck is Thomas's close friend. Teresa and Thomas can telepathy.

Overall ,this is a pretty decent grasping book. I liked the plot. Hope to see the movie soon.
