The title of the book is Diary of a Wimpy Kid, written by Jeff Kinney. The genre of this book is fiction, but is hilarious! The main characters are Rodrick which is the mean older brother, Rowley who is Greg's best friend, and Greg the main character who is weird and kind of awkward. The main conflict is Greg is trying to fit in and become popular. He looses friends, and gains friends back on the long funny adventure! Throughout this book the do many things, but in the end they have each other. The truly human trait I found in this novel was friendship, because he would never be able to do what he did without his friends to back him up. I think this book is directed for people 8 and up because its funny and has humor for all ages.
