did not like it

So I rush-finished this thing since I didn't like it. (Probably not since I thought spending too much time with it would give me cooties - rather, it just left me cold.)

Although I could certainly identify with the MC Greg in more than one situation, overall this book made me feel rather uncomfortable, and not due to its semi-comic format or due to my pending physical condition.
At that age my comic/novels were not as skillful as this proved to be in depicting people - I drew far more Pokémon, animals, dragons, geometric patterns, flowers, TIE Interceptors, X-Wings, buildings, landscapes, um... I didn't think I could really depict people or their expressions well.

Step 2: identify what makes so many children adore this series. OR perhaps just get the next one, Rodrick Rules. and proceed with analysis thus.
(Good: I did not put it on hold when I looked at it just a moment ago. I did not like this, as it made me feel like a worse person for being an overly unique female! I thought this had strong "blend-with-the-crowd" vibes. The message I got from it was to continue to be a wall flower. If I read this when I was younger, then I probably would not have talked with as many people as I had.)

Or: just read something else.
I didn't like this since I could not identify with the main character, nor could I find anything particularly likable about the series.

It is nice that Jeff Kinney was able to rise to such fame through a comic/novel on lined paper. Otherwise, I am particularly glad to be done with this now!

Certain attributes MUST be adjusted in particular ways if life is to be continued precisely how I'd prefer!"
