Diary of a Wimpy Kid is a childrens realistic fiction chapter book written by Jeff Kinney. Within each page of this story, there are simple illustrations to help describe each situation. This chapter book is very easy to read so it is a great chapter book to start off with. This story is about Greg Heffley beginning a new school year. He is in middle school now so he is not use to sharing the halls with older and bigger children. This is a struggle for him at first but he learns how to handle it and make new friends. This is a great book for children to read because they can relate. They have gone through situations that Greg goes through.
