really liked it

When I first started this book, I knew nothing about what was going on. Thomas shows up in this community of boys and he has no idea where he is and no memory of who he is. As the reader, you learn everything about what's happening through the character. The language itself is a little confusing; shucks, shank, changing, glades, grievers, the list goes on...

At the end of the book, I had answers to my earlier questions but was replaced with a whole new set of questions about what was really going on. Hunger Games feel to it with but more intense. I felt like some of the characters fell short but I guess that's to be expected in a community of teenagers who know nothing about themselves.

All in all, I will pick up the rest of the series. It contained a lot of action and the storyline was interesting enough for me to keep reading!
