Summary
Thomas, a teenager with absolutely no memory of his life, wakes up in a dark metal elevator. He gets left up into a large area of green. Trees, flowers, people but what appears to be no way out. Walls surround this haven. And behind these walls, is a maze. A maze filled with moving walls and horrendous and hideous creatures. In the middle is the green sanctuary known as The Glade where Thomas wakes. All of its inhabitants are for some reason males. Not a single female. Thomas and the Gladers, as they are called, Have to get out….how…

Characters

NOTE: None of the characters have last names, they don’t remember them.

Chuck:

My Opinion:
I did in fact enjoy this book. Easy to remember plot points, Drama, suspense, among other things. It’s very similar to The Hunger Games and Divergent. Although i haven't read Divergent yet. This book makes you think of what you would do if you were put in the situation that the characters were in. The Maze Runner was written in Third-Person following Thomas. He has no idea why he has been put into the giant maze and neither does everyone else in his position. Trying to solve a gigantic puzzle is one thing, but when the maze's walls move AND there are terrifying monsters out there, you start to wonder how they are ever going to get out. You just have to read on to find out.
