Whilst I have a considerable interest in Eckhart Tolle's work, I found that some parts of this book seemed a little bit over the top and unconvincing.
This whole idea of the 'changing consciousness' of the World is hypocritical. If we as a World, will be changing our consciousness in the future, doesn't that mean that we should be looking to the future? Why does he believe in such a flawed view of the World? Also, he explains how many women have achieved this level of consciousness, and many men are to follow. Does that include himself? Or, why is it that he has changed and so many more haven't? There are so many flaws in the book that stop it from being a great book. For someone beginning to explore their own spirituality, it may be perfect, but for those who are well read might find it lacking substance. That being said, Eckhart Tolle does introduce the reader to various actions and comprehension to understanding of 'the Now', and I am quite grateful for his simple explanations.
