Wait a minute? If Eckhart is so enlightened, why does he criticize humanity so badly. I'm not even half way through listening to the audio book and he has already mentioned at least 4 times that humans are "insane" and bad for killing so many humans. Also, I have yet to hear HOW we can stop the incessant thoughts. Perhaps it is at part 2 of the book, but so far I am hearing a lot about how insane and brutal we are. I suspect that someone who is enlightened, would be more loving and kind. Because after all, if he is critical, then he is contradicting his own philosophy. How come he's allowed to criticize but no one else is?
