it was amazing

This book definitely altered my way of thinking. Before reading this book, I thought thinking all the time was normal, and that it couldn't really be controlled. When I first 'watched the thinker', something changed; I realized that this voice in my head was not me.

Being mindful throughout the day can bring contentment, but I don't see how pure 'happiness' or 'bliss' could be obtained (probably not considered something that you obtain). But perhaps I just haven't experienced it, haven't put in the effort to be that mindful, and am just thinking about it too much.

I never understood what the 'inner body' really is, and although I tried the exercises, I never felt anything that significant. I think of it as just focusing my attention to my body and senses to stay out of my mind.

I just get this vibe from it that any type of thinking is bad and leads to unhappiness. Excessive thinking, and especially about irrelevant things, can lead to problems, but what about the power of thinking?

Also, this book made me worry less about the future, which is good, but there was a lack of movement in my life afterwards.
