I very much enjoyed this book. It's apropos to my current phase of life in which I'm seeking a higher level of consciousness & awareness. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that I feel it's lacking in description of the physiological responses one experiences while being fully present. I still struggle to know whether I'm being present or not unless it's a super intense experience, which is undeniable. In my experience, recognizing the physiological "body" response has been necessary for me to recognize what's going on with my progress toward enlightenment in each moment. Things such as having an open chest and an effortless breathing pattern when feeling at peace or streaming tears when one has a deep realization or can turn sadness into joy. Perhaps these are my own experiences and cannot be generalized to an entire population, but perhaps they can. I plan to seek out other books that may have said content. The writing of this book can sound repetitive, but I feel the repetitiveness drives the premise home in a very good way. Tolle seems to come at the subjects of his teachings from many different angles, therefore answering each readers queries thoroughly. All in all, Tolle really knows his shit. Or shall I say "feels" his shit. I recommend this book to anyone who feels ready for it.
