I am providing this review a few months after the 2nd reread, and one year after my own self-realization experience. Its less in the detail, and more in the realization of what this book actually is!
This book is a great read for understanding whats its like to be self-realized and living with your awareness innately emanating from presence. I think Eckhart Tolle (ET) well describes life from across the vast yet subtle divide in consciousness, and how this then begins to transform both our minds and lives for the better - after self-realization. This is not a method though on how to make that brain-mind-consciousness transformation happen so as to result in your self-realization.
Meditation and being in nature (etc.) allow us to glimpse what ET means, but once we let our ego minds move us back into fictional time we're lost again - its like being on a bungee chord - you get pulled back! The more you spend in presence the more consciousness flows through you, in all ways, and positively impacts your life. It is through such transformations that we really can find genuine contentedness and profound happiness, and we find a deep inner peace, and so much more. It really is a beautiful state of awareness to live in, and to also bare witness to how consciousness then helps us transform our lives.
The bad news is if you wish to live innately with your awareness emanating presence then you must currently await grace (like ET) or you need to use effective methods to self-realize i.e. Transcendental Self-Inquiry (a form of Ritual Meditation).
Well worth the read (& reread) on the path to awakening and healing :) Its a light and bastion for our ultimate destination, and the sooner we read it the better. Thank you Eckhart Tolle.
