really liked it

The Power of Now is can be summed up into a few Eastern concepts. The primary strength of this book is that it puts near-esoteric Eastern concepts, such as 'Resistance', into a dead simple, almost child-like, perspective. I really enjoyed that. Another strength is that it is adapted for Western culture. With its easy-to-read nature adapted to the material-hungry Western culture, this book is a blockbuster hit!

However, there is a major downside to the message of this book. Realize this book is not the end all, be all, holy grail, ultimate destination as it has the feeling of. When that woo-woo feeling is soon over after finishing the book, people may become complacent for weeks after, as I did. The easy fix to that is to read this book with an open mind, and do not get sucked into false reality where spiritual life is all you need. That is an extremely dangerous mindset to be in. Use the concepts proactively! The Power of Now also feels a bit drawn out as well, but being such an easy read, I enjoyed it. I recommend this book for the sole reason that it may lead you to a more satisfied, fuller life where you are content with yourself.
