I now understand why so many people recommend this book. The simple premise of consciousness in the present is appealing, and the author presents it without apology. However, the text is light, and unintentionally funny at times, when the author takes on a spiritually Nike attitude ("just do it."). Oh! Okay! I hadn't thought of that. Defensive humor aside, the q&a format is easily digestible and a quick thoughtful read, no matter what you believe about Tolle's philosophy.
