A worthy read. It probably won't speak to you if you're perfectly happy with your life, and it will probably speak loudest to you if you've recently gone through some mental/emotional trauma.
I would probably have rated it higher if not for -
1. Repetition. It seems like all his ideas are pretty much covered in the first few chapters of the book, the rest of it is just the same stuff repeated in slightly different ways.
2. Condescension. Sometimes warranted, other times he fails to explain himself clearly.
3. He borrows ideas from various Eastern philosophies as well as Christianity - however what he fails to do is really do them any justice. He picks out one line from somewhere which suits the point he's trying to make quite well, but it's taken completely out of context, and no way is a single line enough to do justice to the various philosophical systems.
The ideas expressed in this book still made sense to me, despite my misgivings, hence the 3 stars. It is written in a concise and easy to understand style, and probably a good starting point for those interested in spiritual philosophy.
And no, I'm not going to claim like so many others that "this book will change your life". Only you can do that.
