it was ok

I have a hard time with this book. I get the idea that the author is trying to put out there, but as one reviewer said before it feels "condescending" and smacks of a rewrite mishmash of a variety of philosophies with Tolle's own twist that just really doesn't do it for me. As a Buddhist, I absolutely believe in the power of the now... but I also understand the importance of the past and the future in how we evolve as individuals. I have tried over and over again to read this book, but I just get this sense of regurgitated philosophy combined with word games. I've read tons of books on philosophy, logic, comparative religion, etc. The idea is a good one, but its kind of like someone rubbing my fur the wrong way when I try to read the book. I keep trying, hoping that if I just muddle through I can find something I can take from it.
