Giving this 3 stars, and if you want to know why, just read the debate in the comments. This book is hardly original, but it is an easy read and presents complex (and ancient) concepts in a fairly accessible way (even if it is a little kitschy and oversimplified). I do also think that Tolle is laughing all the way to the bank, as others have said. You have to pay to access most of his website. Was that the case for other revolutionary philosophers? Hmmm.....I think not.

But with that said, Tolle really drives home the importance of living in the moment, being in touch with our emotions, honing our thoughts, and forgiving others. All things that are desperately needed in our world.
