it was ok

As an easy way to pass a few hours, you could do worse than the power of now. This book, set as a dialogue between student and master, is written in engaging and flowing, if a little repetitious pros. It outlines all the key parts of mr. Tolle's philosophy and there are a few practical suggestions for how to put his teachings into practice thrown in to.
Unfortunately mr. Tolle's philosophy is a load of b.s. There is some strong evidence that some of the mind sets described in this book are useful approaches to life, there is some pretty good science around the benefits of meditation for example, but this author ignores proof and scientific justifications for his proclamations in favour of whoo-whoo new age inanities and some extremely suspect reworkings of religious texts, like the bible.
Be patient and dig under the rubbish and there are some pretty good strategies for living a calm and happy life. However I can't help thinking the same information is probably packaged much better and without the crap somewhere else.
