The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment

Buddhism for Dummies.
On the philosophy and practice of present mind, this book is a great entry-level explanation in both theory and practice. However, it is extremely dry and does little to probe beyond the level of common sense. Frankly, I'm puzzled by the fervor and popularity this book has generated. Eckhart Tolle has over-simplified and regurgitated knowledge that has already been openly available for thousands of years while bringing absolutely nothing new to the practice or philosophy.
