The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich: A History of Nazi Germany

An enormous book that is neither an historical fiction nor a real history book that reflects any historical scholarship. I am astounded by the utter lack of balance and total lack of historical perspective that is so essential for writing a good history book. The author reserves the foulest adjectives for all people who did not participate actively in anti-nazi endeavours and similarly showers anti-nazi activists with the best compliments and adjectives that the author could summon from his pretty limited vocabulary list. To grant imperialist England of 20th century the tag of the saviour of independent small nations of Europe is ludicrous to say the list. However the book is definitely important read to understand how history should not be written.
