Alienated Majesty Books, 613 W 29th St, Austin, TX 78705, USABooks through BarsStories from the Prison Books Movement (UGA Press), edited by Dave "Mac" Marquis and Moira Marquis, recounts 70 years of the grassroots movement and collective which today still challenge the prison industrial complex by corresponding with incarcerated people and providing them with donated books.
There will be readings from the book and letters from imprisoned people, as well as information on Austin's own Inside Books Project, prisoner art, refreshments, and merch.
