Just finished reading Eckhart Tolle's The Power of Now. While Eckhart explores the interaction of the conscious and unconscious mind, his explantations are very mystical in nature. This made implementing such practices and teachings into my daily reality simply impractical.
There was some interesting content relating to suppressed fears and the 'ego' however, as these concepts are already extremely complex in nature - his airy fairy take on the subject made the book extremely difficult to digest.
Perhaps the fact that Oprah Winfrey positively endorsed the book set my negative bias from the start but nevertheless, may be worth a read if you have have the patience and mental capacity to sought through Tolle's over compensative fluffy bullshit.
Overall, a generous 4.5/10
