really liked it

As always with these type of books you'll have haters/non-haters and believers and non-believers.
I remember a friend recommending me this book three years ago and started to read it right away, only to find myself throwing it away after a merely 100 page read.

Now three years later at the age of 32, I decided to give it another try and was amazed how many "Ahaaa"-moments I got from it.
Yes it's true that the book is written in an extremely belittling way (Like Eckhart Tolle sees him self as some Enlightened God who will teach us mortal infidels how to become better people), hell even the hard cover and used font type give the impression that it's a book for small children who just have learned to read.

However a book should not 'judged' by its cover (according to this book, one should never judge anyone/anything - That includes you Eckhart! :p).
Content-wise this book has a lot to offer, especially to the reader who is 'ready' to read it.
Personally I am not a real fan of all the 'New Age' stuff, but as with every book you need to filter your own useful information out of it...
As a matter of fact therein lies the brilliance of this book, it's a bestseller, because the content is so layered that everybody who is willing can get something useful out of it.
You will understand when you read it, because it's kind of hard to explain.
Compare it to the first seasons of TV-series like FRASIER or SEINFELD if you like, some of the most popular comedy sitcoms ever created. The main story/humor was always easy accessible for everybody, but there was always a deeper and smart layer of content to see and experience.

I highly recommend this book to everyone who has an open mind and wants to read some interesting thoughts about the unconsciousness we all seem to be living in. Don't regard all the questions/answers in the book as a mere repetition of the same, but as multiple attempts to give you better grape of what "being present" really stands for.
